Search and review your own social media history
FlipScroll is a private tool for looking back at what you have posted and commented on Instagram and X. Import your own data export, search it in one place, and decide what you want to revisit.
How it works
Step 1
Request your export
Ask Instagram (choose the JSON format) or X for a copy of your data. They send you a zip file.
Step 2
Import it
Choose the zip in FlipScroll. It is read here on your device, and you see what will be imported before anything is saved.
Step 3
Search it
Find anything you posted or commented, from any year, in one place.
What you can do
- Search years of your posts and comments by words or phrases.
- Filter by platform, by posts or comments, and by date.
- Flag items you want to review later.
- Refresh an account with a newer export, and see what would change before you apply it.
- Export everything FlipScroll stores about you as a download, in JSON and CSV.
- Permanently delete one imported account, or your whole FlipScroll account.
Your data stays yours
- Your export file is read on your device and is never uploaded.
- Only the text, dates, links and a few small details of your posts and comments are stored. No photos, videos or messages.
- Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.
- No ads, no third-party trackers, and your data is never sold.
What you import is stored so you can search it, which means it is readable by the service. Read the privacy policy for exactly what is kept, where, and for how long.
